Update from Ukraine

Update from Ukraine

On the Facebook page Pray for Ukraine my friend posted this: Please read this post and pray for Ukraine!       Maia Mikhaluk Yettste104Srday p1o8n0gat 20:66e59 PM  ·  11pm. The night is descending on Ukraine. The evening was quiet. We had a family dinner without interruption of air raid sirens. We hope the night ahead is quiet but we wonder if this is quietness before the storm. In my morning post I quoted an episode from Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings”, where Sam…

Update to Natural Gas Well

Update to Natural Gas Well

Last fall I posted a blog on how to locate natural gas underground with two coat hangers.https://sallyjadlow.com/how-to-find-natural-gas/?preview_id=4365&preview_nonce=bcb65bb450&preview=true Many people thought I might have a screw loose. I applied to the state of Kansas for a drilling permit. Then I engaged a well driller. This past week they moved their drilling rig onto my property and placed the drilling rig at the place my coat hangers crossed.  This past Thursday afternoon I went to see how they were doing. If they…

A Debt Owed

A Debt Owed

As I watched the Ukrainian conflict on TV this week, I thought of the debt we owe them. You see, in 1874, Ukrainians brought Hard Turkey Red wheat to the U.S. and planted it in Kansas. That is the variety of wheat that makes the bread and rolls we eat every day.  This variety is responsible for 95% of all wheat grown by 20,000 Kansas farmers. These Kansas farmers produce 18% of all wheat grown in the U.S. Half of…

The Magic Blanket

The Magic Blanket

A few years ago I made blankets for each person in the family for their Christmas present. They look knitted, but it’s only a series of one loop stuffed into the next one.  My daughter told me recently, “We love our magic blanket. Whoever gets under it falls asleep immediately.” I’ve had some trouble going to sleep lately so I decided to try the magic blanket that we keep draped across a chair in the family room. Instant sleep. Rather…

New Year-New Branchs

New Year-New Branchs

This year started off with a bang. We have a new branch on our family tree. Granddaughter Kate Nissen married Sam Armstrong in College Station, TX in a lovely outdoor wedding on New Year’s Day. She is the daughter of our daughter, Sara and her husband, Scott. The joy of watching our family grow never gets old. It takes a long time to grow family trees, but it’s worth the effort!

Why doesn’t ‘tock-tick’ sound right to our ears?

Why doesn’t ‘tock-tick’ sound right to our ears?

A friend sent this to me. Hadn’t ever thought about this before.   POSTED ON OCTOBER 10, 2019BY TODDE Ever wonder why we say tick-tock, bit tock-tick, or ding-dong, not dong-ding: King Kong, not Kong King? Turns out it is one of the unwritten rules of English that native speakers know without knowing. The rule, explained in a BBC article, is: “If there are three words then the order has to go I, A, O. If there are two words then…

Obtaining End Time Oil

Obtaining End Time Oil

When I can’t sleep I get up and pray. The house is quiet. The phone doesn’t ring. Distractions are at a minimum. Last Saturday early morning was one of those times. I’ll share with you my exchange with Father God. 1/30/22 12:33 a.m.   Father, what is on Your heart?   My people die for lack of knowledge—knowledge I am so willing to give—that I am anxious to bestow. It takes time; much time and diligence to wait before Me—time…

Ever Go Through Bad Stuff?

Ever Go Through Bad Stuff?

Did you ever wonder why God let you go through some unpleasant things?  I don’t know if you’re familiar with THE ELIJAH LIST ([email protected]). I get it in my inbox every day. They had some interesting insights in yesterday’s post. Here are some of the comments: For the past several years I have published prophetic words in January about what the Lord has spoken to me about the coming year. Looking back at it now, I am stunned by how…
