Election Poem

Election Poem

Election season is upon us. If you’re like me, you’ll be glad when the election ads disappear. Just two weeks to go, thank God! Because people went to war, bled and died to give us the privilege, we need to exercise our right to vote.

It’s even worthy of a poem, so here it is:

I’ve only one vote in this election
so I’ll carefully make my selection.

But first, I’ll pray on voting day
to cast my ballot the right way.

To elect those with a servant heart
who’ll do their best to do their part

To govern with equity in their position
and so fulfill their God-given mission.

If you live in Kansas, Kansans for Life has a sight for suggestions:

If you would like each county to be able to elect our sheriffs, vote “yes” on Amendment #2.
