Funny Snowman

Funny Snowman

Now that Christmas is past, the gifts have been opened, and the decorations have disappeared, it’s time to pay the piper. I found this picture on Facebook with the caption, “This snowman is to scare away the bills.”  If it works, we better pray for snow! A Charcutier Tree

A Charcutier Tree

This Christmas I made a charcuterie tree for a centerpiece. I bought a Styrofoam cone and  covered it with plastic wrap. I gathered three kinds of cheese, red peppers, pickled okra, sliced red pears and apples, and rolled up ham with cream cheese and dill pickle relish inside. I stuck each bite on the Styrofoam with party toothpicks. I intended to put black and green olives on it, but forgot them. The star on top is from the red pepper. It…

God’s Son came to earthto declare His rescue from sin and deathto weary waiters who heard of Messiah, but now beheld Him with their own eyes. We, once again, wait for His second coming.Come, Lord Jesus.   My books are available here

You can get all the stuff online or at Walmart.          13 ounces of Vaseline Petroleum Jelly          12 ounces Vitamin E Cream          27 ounces Johnson’s Baby Lotion In a large mixing bowl empty…

A Challenge Achieved

A Challenge Achieved

At the beginning of 2023, I challenged myself to read through the Bible ALOUD. I had read it many times through using only my eyes, but this time I wanted my ears to hear it too, so it could sink down deeper into my heart. Because there was 2,160 pages, I needed to read about six pages a day. I must have read more than that, because this past Friday, November 25, I read the last half of Revelation. I…

A Method in My Madness

A Method in My Madness

I’m writing this blog the Sunday before Thanksgiving. I’ve just finished making a pot of chili and a dutch apple pie on this gray, dreary day. Soon I’ll be cooking for 30 or so who will show up here on Thursday. You may wonder why I’m cooking today since Mr. Turkey is waiting to get his tutu cooked come Wednesday, and potatoes, cranberries, potatoes, and sweet potatoes are cued to take their turn in the pot.  It’s simple. We will…
