I’ve been thinking about how each of us was destined to be born at this very time in history. My parents were part of the so-called “Greatest Generation.” They went through WW I, The Great Depression, and WW II, to name a few. 

Those experiences matured them into a special kind of toughness that looked at situations and pressed on anyway. I wrote about those days in Hard Times in the Heartland.

And now it’s our turn. Just as Esther in the Bible, we have been “born for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14).

I would urge you to seek God to discover your role in His plan for you in this day and hour. He may surprise you with His plans. Psalm 139:16 tells us that He has written all our days in His book before we lived one of them. If you ask, He’d love to share those pages with you.
