Glorifying the Lord
Since we have been meeting for church online during the Coved 19 pandemic, our pastor stays online after the sermon to answer any questions anyone might have. This past Sunday someone asked him what it meant to “glorify God.”
So many times we use words without knowing what a specific word means. Psalm 86:12 says, ” I will give thanks to You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and will glorify Your name forever.”
That word “glorify” In the Strong’s Concordance is kavad’. It means to honor, glorify, to be honored, boast. I wonder how much glory we give to God in our daily thoughts. How much do we magnify Him, by giving Him thanks and praise. To boast in Him and His ways. To tell others of His goodness to us.
There is a song we used to sing:
Oh magnify the Lord with me,
and let us exalt His name together.
I sought the Lord and He heard me,
and delivered me from all my fears.
If you know it, sing it with me. Let’s magnify the Lord together, for He alone is worthy of our praise.

I feel I’ve been lead to focus on just that. Glorifying, praising and thanking the Lord. Your words were confirmation.
Glad we’re joining together, Linda!
