Recently, grandson Sam, visited Egypt and Tanzania where he climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro. When I planted my garden around my patio, the squirrels and rabbits had a feast, but not me. This year, the garden is incredible! Here’s a picture of the first green pepper. Notice there are no varmint bites. I can’t wait to taste potatoes, zucchini, green beans, tomatoes and squash.
Clem the Clematis is going great guns this spring. I sent this picture to a friend who puts scriptures on pictures. (I haven’t mastered that yet.) She sent my photo back to me after her magic. Here’s the first of my strawberry crop. They’re supposed to be ever-bearing but I think they kind-of forgot the “ever” part! I love to eat fresh strawberries on pie dough. Here’s my dough recipe. This week at Costco they tantalized plant lovers with a unique offering. They stuck geraniums into a pot with these tall stems with foo foo on the top. Got any idea what that plant is? Papyrus. This is what grew in Egypt that provided their writing paper. I’m so glad writers today don’t have to make their own paper before they craft word pictures for readers to enjoy!
