Two Paths

Two Paths

He who planted the ear, does He not hear?
He who formed the eye, does He not see?
The Lord knows the thoughts of man,
that he is mere breath.   (Psalm 94: 9,11)

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them,
and they follow Me. (John 10:27)

I’m so glad God not only sees and hears, He also speaks to those who know Him and follow Him. In order to hear, we must listen—closely. If we will, He will give us instruction and guidance. Isaiah 30:21 says: “You will hear a word behind you, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right or the left.”

A couple of months before we knew our 33-year-old daughter had a spinal cord tumor, the Lord spoke to me of a coming trial that would glorify Him. When the doctors said, “We can’t operate. She’s too young to be paralyzed for the rest of her life,” I didn’t panic because I knew He was up to something.

He was. He led us to a doctor in New York who would operate on her. His efforts were successful. That was  27 years ago. The Lord has seen her through many trials and tribulations, and today she is a very successful real estate agent and a grandma of three.

Two years ago on July 29th, 2022, the Lord spoke to me of a great wind coming that would separate the sheep from the goats; a time of great shaking. He went on to say, “Those who thought themselves so clever will discover their utter folly; their utter foolishness.”

As I look at the news, I see a spring filled with an inordinate number of tornados all across the nation. Houston, TX and Salina, KS have had 100 mile-an-hour in the last week. In my 81 years I’ve never seen such shaking in the political world.

He ended this particular message with, “Those who call on the name of the Lord will be saved; the others will go to condemnation. Each one may make his choice. I would that all would be saved—but each one makes their choice.”

I wonder—will we who know Him call on His name and be rescued, or we align with the goats and go down in defeat? The One who sees and hears is watching and waiting.
