A Little History Lesson
In my lifetime I’ve seen the phrase “under God” added to the Pledge of Allegiance in 1954 under President Dwight D. Eisenhower. That fall when we went back to school, we were proud to say the pledge every morning. It felt good to acknowledge the fact we were under God.
