Choices
We have a choice. We can do what is right in our own eyes, or we can do what is right in God’s eyes. Therein lies a world of difference.
In our society today some folks have a skewed view of right–like the politicians calling for abortion–even abortion up to the day of birth; some even to after the baby is born.
On the opposite end of that spectrum is God’s word, which stands forever (Isaiah 40:8) saying, “Thou shalt not kill.” He doesn’t parce that command with, “it’s okay if the unborn child is a mere three months into the formation process,” or “you may commit murder if this is not a convenient time to have a child,” or any number of other lame excuses.
Some would say, “Oh that’s Old Testament law. That doesn’t apply to today.”
I have read the Bible through many times and I’ve never read a verse stating God has changed even one command given to us in His word.
When God gave the Israelites the Promised Land He said the reason the Canaanites were losing the land was because the Canaanites offered their children by burning to the god Molech (Leviticus 18:21). Are we not doing the same?
There is only one way to purge the blood of the innocents which has been shed in this country. Deuteronomy 21:9 says, “So shall you purge the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when you do what is right in the sight of the Lord.”
We have decisions to make. Will we choose obedience or disobedience?
