This year started off with a bang. We have a new branch on our family tree. Granddaughter Kate Nissen married Sam Armstrong in College Station, TX in a lovely outdoor wedding on New Year’s Day. She is the daughter of our daughter, Sara and her husband, Scott. The joy of watching our family grow never gets old. It takes a long time to grow family trees, but it’s worth the effort!

This past Christmas we had a couple of non-family members join us. One surprised us with a visit from Mickey Mouse. Who knew one of Vic’s tractor buddies also has a passion for impersonating Mickey Mouse? Great-granddaughter was in awe of our visitor.

The tree trimmers came out from under the rocks with the turn of the year. I agreed to “having the dead limbs trimmed out.” Then I went to my dentist appointment. When I came home I was surprised my one and only tree had a buzz cut. The picture above is what had been trimmed! I think I’ll not live long enough to have to pay for another trim!
