Jesus, Our Only Savior
John 3:16
(Jesus said) “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.”
To adhere to the truth of this scripture is not a passing acknowledgement that Jesus lived. Our faith must go deeper than that.
True faith in Jesus believes He willingly went to the cross for each one of us. He came back to life and He desires each of us to have a one-on-one relationship with Him, the living Lord. To those who receive and believe Him, Jesus will save us from an eternity with Satan and his angels in the lake of fire—for forever (Revelation 20:10,14-15).
Jesus makes a place for us in heaven (John 14:2-3), though we deserve hell.
Saving faith is a strong conviction that Jesus really did die on the cross and after three days, came alive again, appeared to many and then rose into the sky. A trust He will return just like He left (Acts 1:9-11).
If you don’t have that assurance, that faith, ask for it. He is anxious to give it to you.
Lord Jesus, come live in me; forgive my sin.
Cleanse me of everything that grieves You.
Make me a new person as I walk day by day with You,
the Living Lord who is coming for His own.
