Wrestling Matches
I Peter 5:8
Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
In any wrestling match, there are useful techniques in order to win over your opponent. Our Coach has some important lessons here.
To be “sober” means “to be calm and collected in spirit.” We are to be watchful and discreet, caution and prudent. This carries no connotation to be fearful. We are to be cautiously active because our adversary, the accuser, who slanders us makes use of any opportunity.
Our enemy offers much, can deliver little, and requires all. His desire is to drink us down, swallow us whole; to utterly destroy us.
But God is greater. He has overcome our ultimate enemy—death. With God for us, how can the enemy prosper against us?
Father God, I rejoice that we are Yours
and You are ours.
That nothing is more powerful than You
and that You promise never to leave us
or forsake us.
Hallelujah! Together we win!

I know who my money’s on in that match. Thank you for your prayer support. Doctors still haven’t come to terms about what to do with me. Ken’s being trying to figure that out for years.
Me too! You are sooo funny! God bless you. May the doctors be given His wisdom to deal with your dilemma.
