This year started off with a bang. We have a new branch on our family tree. Granddaughter Kate Nissen married Sam Armstrong in College Station, TX in a lovely outdoor wedding on New Year’s Day. She is the daughter of our daughter, Sara and her husband, Scott. The joy of watching our family grow never gets old. It takes a long time to grow family trees, but it’s worth the effort!
According to an article online from Tenth Amendment Center (http://blog.tenthamendmentcenter.com/2018/01/oklahoma-bill-would-eliminate-marriage-licenses-nullify-federal-control-in-practice-2/) Oklahoma will again consider dropping marriage licenses and instead issue certificates of marriage after the fact. This is an attempt to make a way out for the county clerks who might be opposed to issuing a license to same sex couples.
