God’s Hostage

God’s Hostage

A week ago we had the privilege of hearing Pastor Andrew Brunson and his wife, Norine, speak at our church.

He was held hostage in several Turkish prisons for over two years with three life sentences hanging over his head. One of the many cells he occupied was built for eight, but housed twenty Muslim prisoners.  He was accused of being a CIA agent, among many other things.

He and his wife had served served as Presbyterian missionaries to Turkey since 1993. Through the efforts of President Trump, Sam Brownback, Vice-president Pence, and the prayers of untold thousands, he was able to be released in 2018.

We have such blessings here in the U. S. If you want a great read, check out God’s Hostage. You’ll be glad you did.
