I reminisced recently with a friend. She recalled times in our little prayer group of almost forty years ago. She said, “I remember you used to come to prayer meeting and sing simple songs to poems you had written. And now, you’re writing whole books.” I nodded. Psalm 107:20 says, “He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” God sends us His word, and for the most part, we tend to leave our Bibles on the shelf. Unread. Some people ask God for healing, don’t receive it, shrug their shoulders, and go away disappointed. We need to look deeper into God’s word.
