While looking for a recipe in an old cookbook, I found a recipe jotted on the back of an old type written letter. It’s undated but has to be over 55 years old. This is a photo of the property my folks moved to 72 years ago this spring. It sat at the crossroads of 69 and 54 highways north of Fort Scott, Kansas. My aunt and uncle and my parents bought this farm in 1951. They tore down the barn to use the lumber on their first 10 units of the motel. They blew up both of the silos.
