Unreturnable

Unreturnable

jesus4[1]That’s what the event coordinator said to me when I asked to schedule a book signing in an unnamed retail bookstore recently. I had held a book signing there in the past, but now they don’t handle self-published books because after the event, any leftover copies can’t be returned to the publisher.

The word lingered in my head as I drove home. Then I began to chuckle. I’m so glad I’m unreturnable in Jesus’ eyes. Once I’ve accepted Him, He is mine and I am His. He says in His word in I John 5:12, “He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.”

I have His life in me. He will never let me go. The devil can never have me again.

Jesus said in John 10:28-29, “and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.”

Isaiah 43:1-2 says it another way. “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you.”

It’s a done deal. Paul said in Romans 8:38-39, “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Have you become unreturnable in God’s eyes?
