Here’s the first of my strawberry crop. They’re supposed to be ever-bearing but I think they kind-of forgot the “ever” part!  I love to eat fresh strawberries on pie dough. Here’s my dough recipe. Late May/early June signals time to make strawberry preserves at my house. Aldi had strawberries on sale this week and I made several runs on my local store and made off 30 pints.   Below is a poem I wrote about my attempt to grow strawberries. Do you have a similar tale? Strawberry Saga Ordered strawberry plants last year. Planted all thirty-six with care. Three survived.
