God has told us to pray for those in authority. Since we have some new authorities over us, it might be a good idea to pray for them.
There is a little-known scripture that appears in 1 Chronicles 12:32 that seems a little out of place here in a list of genealogy. It reads: “And of the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do . . .”
Since wisdom comes from the Lord, and we are told to ask Him for our needs, it makes sense to ask that our leaders (and those under them) would be like the sons if Issachar, men who understand the times with knowledge of what to do.
